EndoscopyEndoscopy refers to the use of a flexible fibre optic tube to visualize your pets internal organs without the need for invasive surgery. The most common applications are: - Diagnosis of Lung and airway disorders. - Retrieval of foreign bodies from the stomach or esophagus. - Obtaining biopsies to help distinguish between parasitic, inflammatory, and cancerous intestinal disorders. - Visualization of the abdominal organs in birds, dogs & cats while minimizing the surgical incision. Dr. Gumley and Dr. Glavin conduct most of the Endoscopy examinations here at Carp Road Animal Hospital. They have taken additional training and acquired the necessary equipment to perform the various Endoscopic techniques.
