We treat a wide range of exotic critters here at the Carp Road Animal Hospital, like hamsters, gerbils, hedgehogs, rabbits, and most birds, even the City of Ottawa's Royal Swans! Dr. McKiel and Dr. Oliarnyk both share a special interest in these species, especially birds. Dr. Hutchings also treats the furry four-legged friends (just not birds). This section will provide basic information for some of the most common species we see here.
